Be grateful

A lot of people today give too much credit to their current feelings. Subconsciencly they are paying too much attention to how they feel at the moment. That really can be a bad practice. If we agree that our life is built of ups and downs and we accept that fact, then we should not always be so impressed by our current feelings. Remember, our feelings are based on what we think... and we can always choose what we're gonna think!
Next time you feel sad or depressed, just remember that this year (just like last year) 300 000 children (or even more!) in Africa will die because they are not going to have something to eat, or drink... or they will die from some trivial curable decease. Hey! We're living in 21st century and still there are places on Earth where people die 'cause they don't have something to eat (do I have to say that food and water are everywhere around us).
Be grateful because you had 3 meals today, you had very nice food. Be grateful that you have a computer and access to Internet, you can research anything you want, you can communicate with people around the globe for almost free. You have advantage over a lot of people on Earth! Be grateful that you have a nice and warm home, and bed where you can sleep. Be grateful that you are going to schools or universities or you have jobs... You invest in your own future and personal development.
That's why it's not a bad idea to remind ourselves from time to time about the things we have and know, and realise that whenever we feel sad, our situation is most of the time not that bad as we think it is.
