theoretical and practical Orienteering

At the gates of the world championships

, ,

Months of training come down to the following 10 days. The Israeli delegation includes three athletes:
The young Guy Sabo Bar, who trained hard in Israel and Finland, preparing for JWOC. Receiving a cold shower in Poland should bring him better prepared mentally for his first WOC.
Our only elite orienteer, Pavel Gvozdev, who has been living in Russia for the past 6 years, is coming with high hopes after a few months of intense training. Three finals are not an impossible ambition for him.
Writing about myself is a little weird, but I'm the third member. This will be my second WOC and my first as a trainer/official. I feel much better conditioned this time and I hope for the best.
In general, I'm optimistic about this championships especially after seeing the difficult and slow French terrain in the pre-woc training camp. Difficult means tough for everyone.
The airplane from Moscow is about to land in Geneva. 2 athletes from Israel will meet one from Russia in Swizerland on the way to a great week in France. Goodbluck to us.
