Hi there! Ajay,

Path is here:

/data/data/com.opera.mini.android/files/

But you won't be able to read full file because it's OBML file

OBML = Opera Binary Markup Language

Hi mvthakar! I have a problem..
The pages that ive saved in the saved pages, were all gone, and its empty. When i try to save another page, its asking me to save in another folder..

My question: what would i do to save all the pages, in the saved pages? Why its asking me to save it in another folder, though the save pages folder is empty?

Hmm...sounds strange...
I can understand that your phone is rooted because you can view Android system files.

Is it happening in Opera Mobile or Opera Mini? Have you deleted any folder by a mistake?

Disappering saved pages can also be a techniqual problem.

Advice: Enable (if not) Opera Link, synchronize data and re-install the browser and submit a bug report here:

Hi mvthakar!

Rooted? How is it done? Cause i dont know if my phone is rooted..

My phone is nokia x2-01, is it android? I think its not..

I think its happening in opera mini, or opera mobile..
I never deleted any folder..

Where will i enable it? Is it in the settings?

Synchronize? Is it synchronize opera?

Re install the browser? Its opera mini, its not opera browser..

Im already done with the bug report, but they dont have an answer or advice.. What is the proper way to bug, anyway?

Sorry, for asking a lot, cause i really dont know this thing...

Sorry!
You didn't specify what phone do you have....
Forget about all rooting and Android.

Your phone is running on S40/Java platform.
Opera Mini is a browser, but technically it's an OBML viewer.
Opera Link, which you can find in Settings...

You might know about it that you can store your bookmarks and speed-dial in a cloud storage using Opera Link.
Go to settings, click on Opera Link. Then select 'I have an account'. Just enter your My Opera Username and password and select 'login'.
When it shows: 'Your browser has been synchronized', you can close Opera Mini and delete it. Re-download Opera Mini and login into Opera Link.
And your may have been solved.

Try if you wish and feedback here.

Hi mvthakar! Wow genius!

Delete opera mini, and re down download it..

Im thinking that you are referring this as the solution to my problem about saving the pages...

Im already thinking of that, before i post problems in opera mini.. But im thinking that my phone should be reformated.. Im hoping that there would be another way in solving my problem, aside from reformatting, when i ask for a help in forums .. Cause if i will do your advice, internet in my phone is so slow, and i need to load it for 50 pesos, before it my internet load fast..

I appreciate your help and answer.. Thanks a lot..

Sadly, you can't get your saved pages back but you can get your bookmarks back using Opera Link.
If you had enabled it before on your phone.

Rooting is very dangerous process that destroys your phone's security and let you gain Superuser access to the Android file system.
But rooting is not recommended for newbies.

You're very lucky!
To enable Opera Link, go to:

O > Settings > Opera Link

You will need to login with your My Opera account.
Just use same username and password as you use to login to My Opera.

After logging in, your bookmarks and speed-dials will be automatically synchronized.
(Synchronizing means your data gets stored in cloud storage.)

After synchronizing, you can log out from your Opera Link account by disabling it.

Now, whenever you lose your bookmarks or speed-dials, just log in, let Opera Mini get synchronized and stay logged in or you can log out from Opera Link.

It is also useful if you need to uninstall Opera Mini and re-install it, you can get your old data back.

Good luck. smile

You can do it! If your phone is android and it's rooted you can do anything. You can take full advantage of your phone by taking it to the max. Only your brain is your limit whistle. All your bookmarks and saved pages (and settings of course) are stored in the folder:

/data/data/com.opera.mini.android/

So just backup the folder "com.opera.mini.android" to a safe location in your sdcard. After resetting your phone just install the same version of opera mini but its advisable not to complete the installation over the internet, just don't open it. Then restore everything in the backup "com.opera.mini.android" in the original location except the "lib" folder. Opera Mini might not work if you replace the "libom.so" file. Then just open Opera Mini and you'll have all your previous bookmarks and precious saved pages.

*******************************************
Rooting your android phone isn't that dangerous. What's dangerous is how you misuse it i.e flashing custom roms, kernels etc. Rooting can be dangerous depending on the type of phone you have and the method you use. Over 95% (I would say 99%) of disasters are easily recoverable. Thankfully mines a Samsung and everything is really easy. Rooting can greatly increase your phone's Speed, battery life and performance in general especially in low end devices.

But still my advice is - if you don't know it, YOU DON'T NEED IT.

Yeah, you're right but for new users (I mean who doesn't know what's rooting), it's highly dangerous. They may delete system files/folders accidentally becuase they don't know what they're doing.

1. You dont need to reset your phone if you want to root your phone.

2. The saved pages are on the phone memory. You need to hack your phone if you want to view or edit the saved pages located on your phone. Just google it how to hack java's phone.

how to save then restore your Saved Pages MANUALLY!

of course, this will take time. But this is 101% SAFE! (no rooting, downloading, copying or moving, etc..)

Step 1
Click the Opera button then click "Saved Pages"

Step 2
Click the desired page from the list to save. This will open at the same tab.

Step 3
Set aside the page, open a new tab then open your facebook account; recommended (if you have one) You can also use your Google Mail account.

Step 4
Copy the URL of the saved page by long-pressing the address tab where the saved page is found. A menu will appear which will let you choose to copy or paste. Click copy.

Step 5
If you use facebook:
(1)go to home
(2)Locate "More Options" below the textbox of "What's on your mind" then click it; DO NOT PASTE THE LIK YET!
(3)Click "Only Me" from the privacy. Wait for the page to load then paste the URL or the saved page. REPEAT THE STEPS AS NESSESARRY IF YOU WANT TO ADD MORE URL/LINKS OF A SAVED PAGE.
(4)click post

If you use Google Mail
(1)compose a mail. Type in the same email address (the one used when you logged in) for you will send this on your account
(2)you may leave the subject blank
(3)Paste the links at the message textbox. (REPEAT AS NESSESSARY)
(4)click send

after resetting your device or after having a reinstallation of your browser, do these steps to restore them:

Step 1
Open the account you have used (Facebook or Google Mail)

Step 2
Facebook:
Go directly to your post
Click a link then save it again in Saved Pages
Google Mail:
Go directly to your inbox
Click the message
Click a link then save it again in Saved Pages

Once again, THIS WILL TAKE TIME! meaning, you need to do it MANUALLY! i would like to suggest this, especially if you dont know more about yet of your device. Doest know what root is.. but anyway, i can assure you, THIS IS 101% SAFE!

(sorry if i had misspelled some words or used some wrong terms p ... Im not that good at english. Im a Filipino.. hahahhaha..! But i hope you learned or just understand. Once again rooting is risky! (if you're a begginer; you might delete some system files - stated on one of the user)

Finally found the tutorial. Thanks uanric. My problem solved with your manual.

@pyzonet,

"the folder named " Download " on SDcard"

Where did u get that idea? There's a "download" & a "downloads" folder listed on my card (no idea why both?) & saved pgs are not in either folder... plus it's been stated here, that the pathway is data/data... & so forth, which doesn't sound like it's the card? Sounds like a local, system file, in internal memory? (appreciate if someone could clarify on that..). It's also been stated that said file cannot be explored w/o root. So what exactly do you find in your download folder?
