Windows Mobile 5 users, attention: switch to Jbed 3.1!

I’ve been testing the latest-and-greatest, 3.1 version of Jbed (as opposed to the currently used “Cloudyfa” 2.1 version spoken of in this forum). You definitely want to upgrade to the new version; it works very stable with OM4.1 beta (and, of course, OM4.0) and is definitely superior to 2.1 in several respects.

See the bottommost part of the post at http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=210354&t=1207314830&page=2#comment2506105 for more info & download links.

Note that the above version is NOT compatible with WM5 (or previous OS versions), ONLY WM6+! If you need WM5 compliance, get THIS instead. Also see my today's post at http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=228396 for more info.

I wanted to try this with the signed versions of mini 4.1 beta (to bypass the hack to avoid start up prompts).

...cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file....

This is on a Treo 700wx wm5 device. The coudya java worked fine.

Wasup?

Oops - you're right. Quickly deployed on my WM5 devices - It isn't compatible with WM5, only WM6. Sorry for the confusion. I change the info ASAP.

BTW, look around at XDA-Devs, where, according to THIS post, the 20080222 version of 3.1 is WM5-compatible.

After thoroughly testing the new Jbed releases, I've updated the thread starter post with WM5-specific info.
